If there is one thing we have learned in the last year between Paula Deen and Justin Bieber, it is that if you are famous and say really racist things you’ll get plenty of opportunities regardless. Bieber got in next to no trouble, baptized himself in an NYC tub, and now all is well. And as far as Paula Deen goes, you heard about her comeback, right?
So how is a woman who said some pretty awful things about another race making a comeback? Why, by getting her own network, silly! Yup. She just announced on her website that she will have a network that charges a subscription fee to the people who watch it (think HBO or Netflix) and it will be all Deen, all the time. What is great about this is, if you get hit with the urge to make pancakes at two in the morning, the Paula Deen Network will have you covered. Even if you want to make some potato pancakes we have got just the network for you.
Are we now finally living in a society without any real consequence for the celebrity? We knew it was coming to this, but who knew Paula Deen would be the catalyst? Kind of makes us cringe. Will you pay money to see Paula Deen?
