Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s split was not without tears. The SNL comedian opened up about the aftermath and admitted he got really emotional. Fortunately, the comedian had the support of his mother to help him get through his broken engagement.
During a NYE show in Boston, US Weekly reports, Pete apparently shared that after the sad split in October, he cried in front on his mother while they both sat at the table and talked about it.
He went on to tell his audience that the unfortunate ending to his whirlwind love story with the singer taught him a lot about people in general and also helped him see ‘how ugly people can get, and how cool people can be.’
Of course, here he was most likely talking about the hate and bullying he received from Ariana Grande’s fans on social media as well as about those in his personal life and online, who came to his aid when he needed it the most.
Pete went on to discuss Ariana’s breakup song, Thank U, Next, which she released one month after they had put an end to their short-lived relationship.
He noted how most artists don’t name their exes when they sing about them but ‘Not this wonderful lady. This diabolical genius named all of us!’
Davidson worried many just a couple of weeks ago when he took to social media to tell everyone that he did not ‘want to be on this earth anymore’ but was still holding on, barely, for those who care about him.

After the message that made it very clear Pete is suicidal, Ariana proved to be one of those who care and was quick to check up on him at the NBC Studios but Pete refused to see her.
