Ashley and Michael Darby have been through numerous ups and downs that played out on camera on ‘Real Housewives of Potomac.’ The couple is happy to announce that they are expecting a baby in the near future.
This great news comes after a devastating miscarriage that happened last year. Ashley spoke about it on the reunion show for ‘RHOP.’
The loss affected both of the reality stars deeply and they sought comfort in different ways. The tragedy ultimately brought them together.
Now the two spoke to People Magazine about their upcoming bundle of joy.
“I’m so excited. When I used to hear people talk about having a child and the miracle of life inside you, I know that sounds great, but then to actually experience it? It’s the most all-encompassing feeling ever. I never imagined I’d feel this much love … it’s the pinnacle!”
Ashley also explained that when she found out the great news in November, it was a surprise because they weren’t consciously trying to make it happen.
“It was a surprise. We found out in the beginning of November and I had just been healing out of it and I thought I was getting sick because of the change of season. I wasn’t feeling too well. Something just told me to take the test, really not expecting a positive result. And then lo and behold, there were two solid lines.”
The 30-year-old said that they were both emotional when they found out. She described the moment when her husband completely broke down in tears.
“Michael, who is a very stoic person, when he cries, I start balling. It was like a share of waterworks between the two of us!”

This will be Ashley’s first child while Michael, who is 59-years-old, already has two kids. Congratulations to the happy couple!
