Rayshawn Lamar Bennett, popularly known as YFN Lucci among his fans, is a professional American rapper hailing Atlanta, Georgia. He is conversant with the new school type of rap called trap which is said to have originated from Atlanta and is very popular there. He has a well recognizable voice and his special style of rap.
Early Life
Rayshawn was born on February 18 1991, in Atlanta Georgia. He grew in a humbling background since his father, an immigrant from Jamaica, was trying to make ends meet. Growing up, he listened and looked up to artists like Jay Z, JA Rule, Lil Wayne and T.I who were finest rappers at that time.
At the age of sixteen, he discovered his talent and after some uplifting from rapper Jonny Cinch, he decided to take the rap business seriously previous interview, Lucci said he had a high pitched voice when he spoke loudly therefore each time he could not rap, he would sing thus creating a smooth fusion. He would go forward to use this as his style of rap. His elder brother is also a rapper going by the name YFN KAY.

His road to stardom started in December, the year 2014, when he signed a record deal with ‘think it’s a Game’ entertainment with his first mix tape being ‘wish me well’. Two years later, he released a sequel to his first mix tape which took the one hundred and eighty third number on Billboard top 200.
‘keys to the street’ was the main single in the mix tape and was ranked number seventy in US Billboards Hot 100.It was also included in XXL magazine’s 50 best hip hop songs of the year and Vibe magazine’s top 60 best songs of 2016.
In 2017, he released an extended play called ‘Long Live Nut’ which debuted at number twenty seven on Billboard 200. A year later, he released his first studio album (Ray Ray from Summer hill) featuring big rap names like Meek Mill, Dreezy, Rick Ross, T.I and Wale.
Currently, he is working with different artists and producers and is trying to reinvent himself.
Personal life
Being at the prime of his career, Lucci likes to keep his personal life on the low. None the less, his son and daughter, namely Liberty and Justice, have made appearances in most of his shows. Lucci brings them out and they happen to seal the shows with their dance moves. However, there is no assurance on the whereabouts of their mother.
When it comes to his dating life, Lucci has been dating Reginae Carter, the daughter of rapper, Lil Wayne.
